Nestled in the charming village of Vollèges in the Valais, the plot boasts majestic views over the Val Ferret and Entremont valleys and the Catogne massif.

In an area that is both residential and steeped in archaeological history, our project is an ode to the harmony between nature, functionality and aesthetics. The gentle slope of the site has inspired a design that enhances and respects its natural surroundings.

The building, with its clean lines and clear volumes, rises elegantly above the land, like a sculpture on a permanent base. This elevation accentuates the lightness of the volume, while ensuring a harmonious flow between the volumes of the house and the garage. For this architectural masterpiece, we chose a reinforced concrete structure, deliberately stripped of embellishments but imbued with a remarkable presence.

Every architectural detail bears witness to our relentless quest for perfection. Concrete, both raw and refined, expresses a strong mineral character, while wood, used for all the floors, brings warmth and intimacy. Steel, used for the staircase and locks, ensures unshakeable solidity, while natural aluminium and stainless steel add a touch of understated elegance to the spaces. The choice of materials extends to the details, carefully crafted with local artisans, offering homeowners a truly unique home. The interior joinery, locksmithing, glazing and the glass wall in the wine cellar are all examples of local craftsmanship, tailor-made to translate the wishes of the residents into tangible elements of comfort and aesthetics.

Through this project, we sought not just to build a house but to create a space where every element, every detail, contributes to a harmonious living experience, in perfect communion with the surrounding landscape.
