Mouse Trap
All projectsCP GROUPE designed the design to accommodate the future 8 passengers.
The interior and upper decks as well as the exterior spaces are part of this architectural design.
Overall, the identity of the sailboat is highlighted mainly with 3 distinct materials: Silver grey thermo-lacquered paint, Wenge veneered wood and leather. These components fit harmoniously into the spaces while preserving the geometry of the hulls highlighted by a Silver Grey lacquer treatment both inside and outside. Thus, the perspective of each cabin reveals the authentic structural envelope with a light-tone lacquer in which all the finishes of the spaces such as beds, wardrobes, decorative niches, etc. are included ...
Other materials such as wood-resin are integrated punctually and specially to reproduce the playful phenomenon of water such as walls of the bathroom.
This conceptual thread is faithfully reused on the upper deck in the «saloon» where the dining area-living room and the kitchen-command station and the bar come to life. A backlit Corian monolith whose front faces noticeably reproduce the light movement of the water, its strategic position offers a fluid and functional circulation.
The designs of the flybridge, the structural supports, the sails, the cockpits, as well as the various fittings contribute to accentuating the dynamic image of the catamaran outside.
The light both inside and outside, both by direct or indirect reflection, accentuates the contrasts between materials as well as the staging of the different spaces.
