Set away from the main roads, the old-fashioned facade with its larch post structure rises up between the fir trees and gardens. The client wanted large bay windows while retaining the character of a mountain chalet, with its framework of purlins and rafters assembled in the old-fashioned way, but with light, transparent railings to let the light in and open up the view.
